Dispute: Jesus the Word & the Bible Word

A man who favors independent fundamental Baptist churches, screen name “Mr. Wise Christian”, typed: “Anyone who says that the King James Bible, including the book of Genesis, is mythology, is not a Christian. Christian means you believe that every single word of the Bible is true.”

Someone responded: “I strongly disagree in the idea of a God-authored book, and certainly view some of the stories as mythology. Christian means you believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and follow His teaching. He never spoke of needing to believe everything in the Bible.” I now intertwine their retorts and responses:

MWC: “WRONG. Jesus is the word of God, fully man, fully God. The Bible is the word of God, fully man, fully God. The words of the Bible are the spirit of God.” RES: “Then show where the Bible clearly claims such things about itself in the text, and/or which earliest churchman claimed what you claim about the Bible. If you cannot, your claim is rubbish.”

{MWC: “Jesus said, if you believe the OT you believe in Him. But if you don’t believe the scriptures, you don’t believe in Him, you are lying to yourself. [Quotes John 5, verses 39 & 46]: ‘Search the scriptures: for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of Me. Had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed Me. But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe My words?’ ” >>>

RES: “Three reasons why this doesn’t apply to me: 1) Jesus was speaking to the Jews, who rejected Him, while I accept Him. 2) While they failed to see that the OT contained implications that foreshadowed Jesus, I embrace those parts (although I recognize that they are largely couched in mythology). 3) I can live without the OT since I have both NT scripture and the Church, while they had neither.”}

MWC: “There is a unified Bible. It is the Textus Receptus, Majority Text. This majority text is the King James Bible.” RES: “NO, the Textus Receptus or Majority Text is only the Greek text underlying KJV NT Christian Scripture (Matthew-Revelation). I have a full copy on my bookshelf. The underlying text for the KJV’s OT is the Hebrew Masoretic text, which was separate and apart from NT scripture for 1,200 years!”

MWC: “If you don’t believe in every word, you don’t believe in Jesus. If you say you don’t believe in the whole Bible, you simply pick and choose what your wicked heart wants to believe and those only. Your faith is in yourself, not the Word of God or Jesus. You were never born again.” RES: “The King James Bible originally contained the books of Tobit, Judith, Wisdom, Sirach, Baruch, and 1-2 Maccabees. And Esther had 16 chapters, not the later chop job. It was authorized with those texts in place. So, if you don’t believe in them, and what you said is true, then everything you said applies to yourself.

MWC: ” [Quotes John 1:1, John 1:14, and John 3:3 KJV].” RES: “I have read these texts and completely agree. And…………….?” MWC: “You take the Bible and pretend you believe it.” RES: “No, I pretend nothing. Zero evidence for your claim.”

MWC: “You’re a sinner. You deserve to go to hellfire for your sins, it’s what you deserve. Jesus which is the word of God died for your sins. Put your faith in the word of God and you will receive the free gift of eternal life.” RES: “This is true for everybody on the planet. So, your point is………………?”

MWC: “There is no Jesus without the Bible.” RES: “I disagree. Jesus can still save those who have never heard via grace. And we have the additional and intrinsic source of the early Church writings, which also testify of Jesus. And your idea is DANGEROUS since those who would accept Jesus yet cannot accept what you say about the Bible could be turned away. This paper-God idea CANNOT stand up to logical debate.”

T. Forced Loneliness: Do Only Men Experience This?

I’ll just get to the point: Can women experience true forced loneliness (TFL) too? Yes. TFL women fall into three categories: First, elderly women whose husband died and whose children and grandchildren moved far away. And no very old woman is attractive to men. This is true for all men. And it’s not men’s fault, as we cannot make ourselves physically attracted to women we find unattractive any more than a straight man would marry another man because he only looked on the inner person. That’s biology. So, such women deserve sympathy. Consider James 1:27: “Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.”

Second, severely physically handicapped women who lack a supportive family. Third, severely mentally handicapped women who lack a supportive family. They also deserve our sympathy, and charitable acts of needed. Yet TFL women do NOT have it nearly as bad as TFL men. That’s partly because TFL men are left with a burning unfulfilled sex drive, while no woman has a sex drive. A lie, no matter how often repeated, is still a lie. And no matter how many are convinced that women have a strong sex drive, it is still mass delusion. I refute this myth in my posts and videos on sex drive.

Also, women are communal and social, while men are hierarchal and competitive. So, it’s easy for women to have several close friends, while many men have only one friend or none. Most TFL women are those who chose to partially or wholly ignore men, and instead dedicate themselves to competitively pursuing a career, then buying a house all in their name. Then one fine day they’re old and lonely. TOO BAD. Actions have consequences. And any young woman who is not severely handicapped or deformed and says she is TFL is a LIAR. So, either she doesn’t like men, refuses advice on making herself presentable, is too lazy to seek out men who like her type, is completely domineering, demands perfection, or is antisocial. That’s it for women’s TFL, as the subject is so simple.

I now quote encouraging scriptures for TFL men who are true Christians: {Romans 8:16-39: “The Spirit Himself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ, if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God………..

For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the first-fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body……….

For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. 26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth with our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit Himself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And He that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because He maketh intercession for the saints according to God’s will………….

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to purpose. 29 For whom He foreknew, He also foreordained to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He foreordained, them He also called: and whom He called, them He also justified: and whom He justified, them He also glorified. What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?…………

He that spared not His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Who shall lay anything to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth. Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?……….

As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”}

Luke 6:21: “Blessed are ye that hunger now: for ye shall be filled. Blessed are ye that weep now: for ye shall laugh.” Philippians 3:8: “I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ.”

Knowledge of Christianity Second Challenge

Since most people claimed to have passed my last quiz, I present another thirty pairs of somewhat more challenging statements, one labeled A, the other B. In each pair, one statement reflects true Christianity as first documented, the other contradicts the original understanding of Christianity. Again, feel free to grab a pencil and paper to number and answer before reading to the end. Again, only one statement per pair is truly Christian. Here goes:

1~ A) In response to a foreign woman asking a favor, Jesus said that it is wrong to toss the children’s bread to dogs, though he honored her request. B) Quoting from the Prayer for Unity pamphlet passed out at my church: “We stand as one people against all racial and ethnic division, denouncing it as sin and not God’s will for us.”

2~ A) When Jesus said, “Upon this rock I will build my Church”, he was referring to Peter. B) When Jesus said, “Upon this rock I will build my Church”, he was referring to himself.

3~ A) The number six hundred sixty-six was already known in the first century. B) Adolf Hitler’s name, expressed numerically, totals six hundred sixty-six.

4~ A) Abortion was condemned for the entire two thousand years of Christian history as murder. B) Compassion requires us to respect the choice of women thrust into unfortunate circumstances.

5~ A) We must all exercise a righteous form of judging. B) All forms of judging are sinful, as Scripture states: Judge Not.

11~ A) God does not dwell in man-made temples. B) The beauty of church buildings are sources of inspiration; they show who we are.

12~ A) The State should be able to act as an arm of God. B) Scripture supports the separation of Church and State.

13~ A) Pure religion is to help orphans and widows. B) Christianity is not a religion; it is a relationship.

14~ A) Christians should even love their enemies. B) Christians should love their neighbors and hate their enemies.

15~ A) Christians should humbly admonish sinners with empathy. B) Christians should righteously scold sinners in public.

16~ A) There is only one faith. B) We should honor all faiths, as the Reverend Billy Graham did.

17~ A) Those who are friends of the world are enemies of God. B) That Mother Teresa was universally loved was evidence of her saintliness.

18~ A) Jesus brought bodies back to life, who had no faith since they were dead. B) Those who fail to be healed by televangelist faith healers lack faith.

19~ A) We should avoid oppositions of science, such as some ideas of Bill Nye. B) Christians should embrace Evolution and the Big Bang theory, as Pope John Paul II did.

20~ A) Prostitutes are bloody whores. B) Prostitutes are victims of male oppression.

21~ A) Galatians 3:28 states: “There is neither Jew, Greek, bond, free, nor male or female, for you are all one in Christ.” This: A) Strictly pertains to religion. B) shows that there are no differences between races, classes, or genders.

22~ A) Christians should tell congregants who offend them about the offense privately. B) Christians should quickly shun congregants who offend them.

23~ A) The cowardly shall be damned. B) The Church is a sanctuary for the fearful.

29~ A) Christians are required to control their words and thoughts in addition to their actions. B) True Christians are required to believe that the Bible is authored by God.

30~ A) Suicide can certainly be forgiven. B) Suicide is an unforgivable sin.

This concludes the test. The answers are: *All* the B statements contradict Christianity; *all the A statements are true original Christianity. I know this because all the A sayings are paraphrased directly from the old King James translation of Christian scripture or explained through the original united Church, both of which are synonymous with Christianity. Besides, many other passages support the texts I have referenced. And the B sayings contradict the A sayings. Read the old King James New Testament scriptures and early Church fathers yourself. See A Dictionary of Early Christian Beliefs, editor David W. Bercot. The truth may not be what you want to hear but is always what you ought to hear.

Test Your Knowledge of Christianity

I have listed thirty pairs of statements, one labeled A, the other B. In each pair, one statement reflects true original Christianity, the other contradicts Christianity. This concludes the test. Here are the answers: *All* the A statements contradict Christianity; *all* the B statements are true Christianity. I know this because all the B sayings come directly from the accurate old King James translation of New Testament Scripture, which is synonymous with Christianity. Besides, many other passages support the scriptures I have referenced. And all the A saying contradict the B sayings. Read the old King James New Testament scriptures yourself. The truth may not be what you want to hear, but it is always what you ought to hear.

Jesus and Hitler

I shall compare Jesus of Nazareth, known by Christians as the Lord Jesus Christ, and Adolf Hitler. Although Jesus was a perfect man and Hitler a dirty sinner, there are commonalities. First, Jesus was the most influential person in the history of the world, while Hitler was the most influential person of the 20th century. and both men are hated by Jews. In the Jewish Talmud Jesus is depicted as being condemned to Hell for all eternity while being boiled in a barrel of human excrement. And both men are among the most misunderstood people in history.

Now Jesus is known as the Prince of Peace. Christian Scripture, Romans 12:18 reads: “If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. That and other scriptures teach that we must seek peace, but also imply that sometimes peace is not possible. Jesus certainly preached love. However, love is a two-way street. It cannot create a decent world if others are unloving. So, there is another principle: In Matthew’s Gospel, 10:34, Jesus said “Think not that I am come to send peace on Earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.”

Though Jesus is well-known for saying that the faithless, rebellious, and unloving will eventually face God’s wrath in an afterlife, another Christian principle is that many such people will also face consequences for their rebellion in this life. I will now discuss Revelation 6:1-8. It begins with the Lamb, Jesus Christ, opening the first seal. Afterwards, horsemen proceed from the first four seals. Everyone agrees on what the last three horsemen represent. What is disputed is the first horseman’s identity.

It would be nonsensical to be Christ Himself, since Christ would be unleashing Himself because He was unable to unleash Himself. And sending Himself forward would contradict Scripture, which says that only the Father sent Him. It would also be nonsensical to be Antichrist, since we must assume that Christ was not ignorant of what was sealed by those seals. And to first send Antichrist is against His nature. Besides, Scripture repeatedly states that He first sent forth the Holy Spirit. Especially note Revelation 5:6.

Early Church father Bishop Victorinus, circa AD 300, explained: “The first seal being opened, he [John] says that he saw a white horse, and a crowned horseman having a bow. For after the Lord ascended into heaven and opened all things, He sent the Holy Spirit, whose words the preachers sent forth as arrows reaching to the human heart, that they might overcome unbelief. The white horse is the word of preaching with the Holy Spirit sent into the world.” He also explains that the other horsemen represent the wars, famine, and death that many will suffer on account of the majority’s failure to obey the Gospel, while hell following death awaits the devouring of unrighteous souls.

For example, in Matthew chapter 24 Jesus Christ clearly warns of the coming destruction of Jerusalem. His devout followers heeded His warning and fled the city before it was destroyed. Those who rebelled against God’s will as taught by Christ, mainly Jews, perished with their city in AD 70 via Roman soldiers.

Some people say that every time one group of people is crushed by another group of people, God sent them as punishment. That is sinful presumption. However, we can state with certainty that God *occasionally allows* one group, no matter their character, to punish other groups as a *natural consequence* of their rebellion, since that is Christian theology. And Emperor Vespasian and the Roman army were clearly the rider on the red horse brandishing a great sword (War), in the first century, since Christ spelled that out.

If anyone in the 20th century rode the red horse and brandished the great sword, Hitler and the Nazi soldiers with their red flag would most closely fit that image. First, the parallel coincides with first century Jews and others rejecting the Holy Spirit. And besides the war aspect, the black horse of famine quickly followed. So did the pale death horse. Pale was translated from the Greek chloros, symbolizing sickly green from deadly disease and/or because some dead bodies assume a greenish tint after decomposition. Certainly, some relatively innocent people were caught in that, as Victorinus explained in his exposition of the horsemen. But that does not negate the extreme corruption, neglect, and godlessness that facilitated World War 2.

Most believers who declare that they were protected by God’s providence base their claim on only one or two extraordinary incidents. Yet Adolf Hitler as a boy was saved from drowning by a religious leader with less than a minute to spare, and survived at least fifteen assassination attempts as an adult, some of which he escaped from within seconds. That is partly why he considered himself God’s chosen vessel. You may think he was a horrible example of a Christian believer, or that he created a distorted version of Christianity. But you cannot say that he was not a Christian believer for much of his life, as he most assuredly was, and even promoted the Christian faith. This is established by: 1) his book Mein Kampf, 2) Hitler’s speeches accurately translated, 3) photographic evidence, and 4) logic. Other sources are second-hand information at best.

Anti-religious people using Hitler’s notoriety to denounce Christianity is pointless, since the vast majority of believers are ignorant of Nazi ideology and have far different versions of Christianity. Instead, believer’s false claims that Hitler was either and Atheist or Pagan, and Protestant’s false claims that Hitler was Catholic harm the cause of Christ, since Christianity is a religion of honesty. Some Atheists and neo-pagans reject Christianity since they see it as a wimpy philosophy and see Adolf Hitler as a hero. So, for them I say: consider the Nazi sympathizer’s view of Christinaity, called Positive Christianity, with Jesus as warrior. And for all I say: to truly understand Jesus, read an accurate translation of the New Testament scriptures, such as the old King James. And don’t pick and choose parts of it; read it thoroughly and ponder it.

If anyone rides the red horse and brandishes the great sword in our early 21st century, this may be the Islamic State Jihadists. Like previous groups before them, they have legitimate complaints, such as our materialism, gambling, drunkenness, unorthodox religious practices, unorthodox sexual practices, radical feminism and its destruction of the family/patriarchy, and our biased support of their adversary Israel. So, our strategy must not be just to fight or expel them, as we should learn from history. We must also repent or perish.

The “New Testament”

Jewish people completely reject the authority of Christian scripture. Besides, on March 23rd, 1980, a demonstration was held by burning hundreds of copies of the “New Testament” (NT) in Jerusalem, supervised by the Jewish organization Yad Le’akhim, and subsidized by the Israeli Ministry of Religions. Besides my Bible expose’ in previous posts, this further indicates that the Jewish Tanakh, which most Christians call their Old Testament” (OT), is not nearly as harmonious with Christian scripture as many are led to believe. Now for the origin of Christian writings:

For Christianity’s first 350 years, no solidified NT existed. Various individual Gospel accounts, letters, and epistles (around 75 different ones existed) slowly circulated amongst various congregations. Any one congregation might be fortunate enough to have a few which included noncanonical writings that were equally read and circulated. Because of expansion and oppression, more visible, formal unity became necessary. So, from many circulating texts, Church authorities tediously sorted and weeded through everything, decided which booklets (scrolls back then) should or should not be canonical, and decided the order in which all 27 booklets appear. That is the origin of the NT.

Saint Athanasius first proposed that these 27 letters, no more, no less, should be canonized as Christian scripture, (AD 367) and ratified by the councils of Hippo (AD 393) and Carthage (AD 397). Not until then was our present canon solidified. Afterward, disputes still existed. Eventually enough copies were made for each congregation to have one book. But not yet for individual believers, since the printing press did not merge for another nine hundred years. Considering these facts, it would be inconceivable for everyone to use these writings as an exact blueprint or pattern. However, I lionize this NT: Matthew-Revelation. “These fountains of salvation satisfy those who thirst with their living words”———–St. Athanasius.

However, since we are under Christianity’s New Covenant, and knowing that the designation testament is synonymous with covenant, many conclude that these 27 books comprise the New Covenant (Christianity itself) in toto. Rather, nowhere in these writings designated The New Testament does it call itself The New Testament. The Canonized Writings of the New Testament Church would be an accurate title, which was simply shortened for convenience. Besides canonized scripture, I advocate most early documents written about Christ and the Church. Although some material might be inaccurate, nothing innate within the canonized NT proves it is more accurate or godly than writings deemed “apocryphal” or “pseudepigraphal” (unless they are of the Gnostic heresy).

Discounting extrabiblical writings seems to me like circular reasoning (the canon declares itself accurate). Rather, the canon gains legitimacy from the testimonial of other writings. One Gospel account may have a detail, another account may exclude it but have another detail, while yet another has both or neither, while a fourth has the same details worded differently, demonstrating different minds behind the writings. This would be an insurmountable problem if God were the author. God, knowing everything, would know all details and would reflect just one mind. However, if the Gospel accounts are viewed as multiple eyewitness and/or dictated accounts, as closing your left eye, right eye, both, or neither radically changes your view, every piece enmeshes like a jigsaw puzzle.

Atheist Bill Maher cried “Only two of the four gospel accounts (Matthew & Luke) mention the virgin birth. If such an important concept was true, all four accounts would mention it.” However, in Mark & John Christ clearly proclaims God the Father as His real father, never Joseph. Therefore, virgin birth is implied. Besides, extracanonical Gospel accounts also document the virgin birth explicitly, such as The Protoevangelium of James, the Gospel of Pseudo-Matthew, and History of Joseph the Carpenter. The peerless Gospel message is without contradiction. The number of surviving manuscripts from ancient works such as those of Aristotle, Homer’s Iliad, Livy’s History of Rome, Plato’s Republic and Tetralogies, Pliny the Elder’s Natural History, Sophocle’s Tragedies, etc. range from less than ten to over a thousand.

Yet there are over 25,000 ancient NT manuscripts in multiple languages still in existence. And said manuscripts were written much closer in time to the original events than those of other ancient works. And as I said, besides multiple canonized writings substantiating one another, dozens of extrabiblical works substantiate Christian canon. Being manmade does not mean inaccurate. Micrometers and lasers are completely manmade yet extremely accurate. James 3:7 shows an inaccuracy, by claiming that all creatures have been tamed when that is untrue. However, its accuracy would detract from James’s splendid illustration. Other passages have a similar bent, holding your attention with artistic license.

Christian scripture teaches morality, not zoology, which morality is fully consistent. Christian writings stand alone as the greatest written source for living righteously and achieving Heaven because of their suburb treatise of Christ’s teachings. But again, these writings must be understood according to their historical interpretations, not private interpretations. Otherwise, they are not “Thus saith the Lord”, they are thus saith YOU. Also, your copy of the NT must be accurate. See my posts Modern Translations VS. Traditional Bibles Parts 1-2.

Besides reading the NT I listen to it on tape. I also read other noteworthy pieces of literature for knowledge’s sake. I ignore bothersome texts and ideas which have unfortunately been associated with my faith and seek wisdom from other wholesome sources. The enigmatic NT itself says “Whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, ponder these things.” (Philippians 4:8).}

God’s Word, Just Nonsense, or Something Else? Pt. 3

{Possible Harm from Insisting that God Authored the Bible: Besides belief in a God-authored Bible giving rise to hundreds of contradictory interpretations, those who believe that God authored every passage of the Hebrew Bible (which was separate and apart from the Church’s writings for 1,200 years) may conclude that everything therein should be followed. Besides the fact that science and technology are minimized, some examples are:

Every populace without exception not of God’s Chosen People are depicted as utterly depraved barbarians. Every reader conveniently deems him/herself one of the Chosen People. Even the main characters (role models) don’t merely exhibit common human failings; sometimes their failings are worse than those of the average person. Their behavior has been used to justify polygamy and other nonsense.

Deuteronomy 22:13-21 is ignorant and possibly harmful, as we cannot prove whether or not a woman ever had sex, as hymens are often broken through mundane physical activity, while some women who had sexual intercourse retained intact hymens. And commands to marry and reproduce cause harassment and denigration of singles, and now our world suffers from overpopulation. Also, pets are nonexistent, and animals are slaughtered while men are told to subdue the earth, not protect the environment.

Hard drug dealers, who have promoted the death, suffering, and enslavement of millions, destroying them physically, mentally, and spiritually, are not even mentioned. The word sorcery in scripture, translated from the Greek word pharmakeia, only included substances that had spells cast on them, or substances given to someone to make them susceptible to mental suggestion. That has nothing to do with today’s modern drugs and their use or abuse. So, the Bible has no proscribed punishment for dope dealers whatsoever, while picking up sticks, tapping, rocks, and other trivial actions called for the death penalty in the OT.

The Hebrew Bible supported the institution of slavery (Leviticus 22:44-46 & other texts). NT “slaves” were more like servants. Dozens of other pertinent topics crucial to modern life are excluded. If God authored a book, He could have predicted the future and relayed modern life beforehand. Stories such as the Creation and Noah’s ark inspire children and sometimes adults, but other stories are far less innocuous. Although the book of Psalms is very inspiring, in Psalms 58 the writer talks about washing his feet in people’s blood. This vengeful and gross sentiment contradicts Jesus’ humble example of washing other’s feet and loving one’s enemies. If Jesus was God, how is Psalms God-authored?

And consider all the OT warfare, murder, rape, pillaging, and mayhem which reflects on its authors. In defense of that I’ve heard “Before Jesus, Prince of Peace, peace could not exist.” Yet peace did exist, and Christianity teaches that Christ was a preexistent being. Many American Christian believers call themselves God’s righteous ones who “fight against evil empires.” Many Jews still consider themselves the Chosen People, far superior to everyone else. And many Middle Easterners, who use the Bible as a backdrop for their Koran, call America the Great Satan, battling others “in Allah’s name.” And each group has a book filled with examples of killing everyone else.

Hmmm. How can we not see the harm in lauding stories of men hearing voices that told them to butcher other people? Even if those who were killed deserved it because they were completely evil, why wouldn’t God instantly destroy all the wicked Himself like He was said to have done to Sodom and Gomorrah, instead of having men deal with the negative psychological impact of brutal warfare? Besides, much of the OT is simply a redundant “The children of Israel smote so and so with the sword, saith the LORD”, instead of teaching anything new. So let us break the chains and shackles that come with deifying these writings.}

{More Observations: The most glaring inconsistency is that most believers in a God-authored book never read the entire book they claim is God-authored. Others ignore anywhere from small parts on up to most of it, rejecting whatever “God wrote” that they don’t like. Then most “God-authored books” are copyrighted. If a book is copyrighted by Joe Schmo, it’s author is Joe Schmo. If it’s copyrighted by the Flimflam Company, it was authored by Flimflam employees. If a copyrighted book is God-authored, it better say copyright by God. If you insist on the Bible being divinely inspired, at least use a noncopyrighted translation such as the Authorized King James Version.

Also, diverse groups disagree on how many books constitute the Hebrew scriptures. Some Jews only accept the first five books (“The Torah”), Protestants say 39, Catholics say 46, the Orthodox canonized 49, and some historical groups have 53, making an 80 book Bible. (The Septuagint: Greek translation of the Hebrew scriptures which Jesus quoted from, had all 53). This division and the occasional brokenness of the texts (besides the lack of vowels in ancient Hebrew) causes words, word meanings, and passages to be perpetually disputed by believers in a God-authored book.

As far as the Ten Commandments, they only applied to one’s neighbor. The scrolls from which these precepts came from had no first word capitalization, commas, or periods. So, in Exodus Chapter 20 it says “Thou shalt not kill, commit adultery against, or steal from thy [Jewish] neighbor. This explains the apparent contradiction in Deuteronomy 20:13-14 where the Israelites were told to kill, commit adultery against, and steal from others. The Levitical precept “Love your neighbor as yourself” (Leviticus 19:18) only applied to fellow Israelites as well. Besides being a monument to Jewish racial supremacy, the Hebrew Bible does not produce faith; half of Jews are basically Atheists.

Jesus quoting the OT certainly doesn’t mean He endorsed the whole thing. Rather, this appears to be circumstantial. He could not have quoted the NT since it was not yet in existence. And since He was of Jewish lineage, He naturally used Hebrew texts as a reference point. If He was Indian, He would undoubtedly have quoted the Hindu Vedas instead. Besides, most Jews rejected Christ even though He accommodated Himself to them. By ignoring their corrupt narratives, He might have been completely rejected. Yet He incorporated them since prophetic light still shone through Hebraist squalor.

Also, fables can beautifully illustrate truth. Although the OT (actually the Jewish Tanakh) was quoted many times in Christian scripture, as stated earlier, this is only a small fraction of it. Jesus and His apostles knew how to gather gems from those scribblings like miners panning for small gold nuggets within gallons of mud. But many people cannot, and better leave it alone. Besides, the OT God cannot be the true God according to the OT because it says that the true God immediately answers His religious leaders with miracles and false gods do not (1st Kings 18:22-39). Since calling on the OT god does NOT result in immediate, dramatic miracles, the OT is self-refuting.

Jesus made it perfectly clear that the Jewish leaders were terribly corrupt. Yet those Jews were the ones responsible for collecting and preserving the Hebrew scriptures. Yet we trust those storylines to be an unadulterated reflection of God’s will? Rather, I would expect Jewish leaders to maintain texts that were corrupt and self-serving. So, the “Old Testament” is a cracked antique relic which gives Christianity validity via historic reference. As an antique collector’s bottle, let’s keep it in the curio cabinet, only drinking our new wine from new bottles (Matthew 9:17 KJV).}

HATE

I’m not discussing hate as in, I hate pineapples on pizza (simply a dislike). Neither the word hate when used in the Bible to mean disavow allegiance to. Instead, I’m discussing hatred. Quoting John’s First Epistle 3:15: “Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.” So anyone who has hatred toward another would either murder them or cause grievous harm if legal opportunity arose. Anyone who says they are incapable of such things is lying. We all are. Since hate pollutes the mind, we must all work to reign in our thoughts and attitudes.

In fact, all hateful people are bad people by definition. However, there is something we should hate: sin and evil. That and that alone. And people hating you is NOT a sign that you are a bad person. Quoting Luke 6:22: “Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man’s sake.”

A major problem today is people calling various groups hate groups, such as White Nationalist groups, men’s rights groups, and even Trump supporters or Republicans. Swastikas are unfairly demonized, along with the Confederate flag, and sometimes the Betsy Ross flag or even today’s American flag. Never give in to these Leftists. We need to counteract this garbage. If we don’t, they will just get more extreme, and eventually change the laws to force their way down other’s throats. Instead, Leftists are often the haters. The only groups that should be labeled hate groups are those where all their members are committed to harming others, such as street gangs or ISIS.

The owners of YouTube terminated thousands of video channels on account of what they deemed hate speech, including mine. But only around 1% of those channels should have been labeled as promoting hate. And they keep some video channels featuring content that is truly a harmful influence. YouTube is very corrupt. It is owned by the mega-giant Google company, who manipulates algorithms to help bury websites they deem misinformation, when such websites run counter to Google’s Leftist agenda.

So hate is a common problem harbored by “normal people”, not just drooling psychopathic outcasts, as portrayed in horror films. Here are examples of hate: When in High School I called a girl on the phone whom I found attractive. She started screaming, yelled at me to get off the phone, and threatened to call the police. At a later time, when I walked past her house on the way to school, she told her dog to sic em on me. Then once while she was being driven by a guy at school, she yelled out Fag! to me. In Chicago, several Black teens kidnapped a mentally impaired man for voting Republican. They coerced him to drink from a toilet, attacked him with a knife, and filmed it.

When my parents and I lived in a certain town, there was a No Trespassing sign posted, which warned of legal consequences. But this was not on private property. It was at the entrance to a regular subdivision. While my parents and I were walking through that area a woman approached us in her car, shouting at my parents that we did not belong in the area. Then she repeatedly drove back and forth to swerve toward us to scare us. Yet we were well dressed, and of the same race as she.

In India, society created an Untouchable class, and forces about a million people so designated to do the dirtiest, most dangerous jobs, and for very little pay. No matter how hard they work, how intelligent they are, or how upstanding, they are trapped in that state by birth. They are completely shunned by all other classes. So most hateful people on Earth are considered fine upstanding citizens. But after this short life is over, there will be a reckoning from God.

Quoting works of Shakespeare: “By Heaven my heart is purged from grudging hate; And with my hand I seal my true heart’s love”——Richard the Third Act 2 Scene 1. “I am a true laborer; I earn that I eat, get that I wear, owe no man hate, envy no man’s happiness, glad of other men’s good, content with my harm”——–As You Like It Act 3 Scene 2. “In time we hate that which we often fear”———Antony and Cleopatra Act 1 Scene 3. “Love thyself last, cherish those hearts that hate thee; Corruption wins not more than honesty”——–Henry the Eighth Act 3 Scene 2. Yet although Christ taught us to love our enemies, the best thing is usually to put as much distance between yourself and haters as possible, and cherish them from afar, preferably on the moon. Quoting Socrates: “From the deepest desires often come the deadliest hate.”

Quoting the Buddha: “Hatred does not cease by hatred, but only by love; this is the eternal rule.” Some people get agitated when seeing a spider, and feel the urge to hunt down and squash it. Even that is hate, if the spider is harmless. It too is a bad attitude that should be disposed of, since even spiders are God’s creation. Even lying is a step toward hate. Quoting Proverbs 26:28: “A lying tongue hateth those that are afflicted by it.” When you lie to someone you are manipulating and disrespecting them. And all unnecessary anger is a step in the wrong direction. Think on these things.

Fathers & Sons

Bear with me while I start with some things simple to understand and extremely basic to most. That’s because some people are extra stubborn and/or lack common sense. So I must explain. First, natural fathers and sons are the closest that two males can be from a biological standpoint. That is, with the rare exception of identical twins, who share identical DNA. And ideally, natural fathers and sons should be the closest that two males are relationship-wise. Therefore the Bible uses numerous father/son illustrations to make a spiritual point. First, some dispute the claim that Jesus was God by arguing that He was never called God; He was only called the Son of God. But it’s common knowledge that sons are only temporarily lesser than their fathers, and only in some ways.

As male underage children temporarily lack equal rights to their fathers because they lack maturity, Jesus was under His Father’s authority because He temporarily reduced Himself to the human condition. When male children are adults they equal their fathers origin-wise, physically, mentally, and rights-wise. The original John Smith does not permanently stand superior to John Smith Junior, and John Smith Jr. does not permanently stand superior to John Smith the 3rd, etc. They all attain exact equality. So after Jesus Christ lived a perfect life, conquered death, and ascended to His Father, he was equal: also GOD. Notice the prophecy in Isaiah 9:6 that preconceives Christ as mighty God, everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace. Not multiple Gods, but an indivisible tri-une God, as a tri-angle is simultaneously three but one.

Now there are multiple types of fathers and sons. Jesus being THE Son of God (singular), shows a unique father/son relationship: the closest possible both genetic-wise and relationship-wise, thus completely unbreakable. All other father/son relationships are breakable somehow. Satan is certainly God’s son on basis of origin, but the loving relationship and fellowship aspect was completely destroyed. Now a preacher said that he thinks saved men, sometimes called sons of God, cannot lose their salvation because his sons could never stop being his actual sons, no matter how they misbehave. What he fails to realize is that God has only one natural son in that sense: Jesus Christ. Believers are not even adopted children at this point.

Here’s proof: Romans 8:23: “Not only they, but ourselves also, which have the first-fruits of the Spirit; we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.” Galatians 4:4-5: “God sent forth His Son, that we might receive the adoption of sons. Though verses 6-7 say ye are now sons, there are degrees of sonship. Ours is sons in training, waiting to be officially adopted as sons. And consider Luke 16:19-31, where the rich man refers to “Father Abraham”, and Abraham calls him son. Yet the rich man is obviously hopelessly lost. This life is just a testing period for the Lord to decide whether or not to adopt believers. Believing on Christ is just a minimum consideration for adoption. All adoptions will be Christ’s resurrection of people’s bodies, along with their spirits.

Not before! So not only does this refute once saved always saved, it refutes the idea of immediate Heaven for Christians after death. St. Irenaeus, in AD 180 wrote: “Those who do not obey Him, being disinherited by Him, have ceased to be His sons.” Irenaeus, who lived from AD 130-202, was a bishop primarily noted for the development of Christian theology by combating heresy and defining orthodoxy. He was an immediate disciple of bishop Polycarp, who was an immediate disciple of the Apostle John. Besides, I’ve written a WordPress dissertation titled “Perseverance of the Saints or Once Saved Always Saved, which refutes that idea with 82 Scripture references and many explanations. If you hold to that doctrine, READ IT. For those who don’t, beware of those who pervert the Gospel of Christ.

Read Galatians 1:6-9. The Bible uses analogies: comparisons between two things that help explain or clarify. But analogies are necessarily imperfect and ill-fitting. So the preacher trying to make God’s relationship with believers exactly like his relationship with his sons is IGNORANCE. His doctrine is rooted in dishonesty and will send souls to FACE HELL. Besides, let’s examine the parable of The Prodigal Son: Luke 15:11-32. In it Jesus used an illustration of a literal father and his sons to make a spiritual point. One son succumbs to temptation, departs from his father’s house, and falls to serious sin. But then from his own volition he repents and returns to his father’s house. Now notice the climax in verse 32: “Thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.”

Think about HOW he was dead. He obviously was not physically dead. And not, as the expression goes, “You’re dead to me.” There is only one other option: he was dead in trespasses and sins. So a point that Christ made is that saved, so-called sons in their Father’s house, can become lost. The confused preacher I mentioned before realizes that a Christian can fall away into serious sin as this parable teaches. However, he believes the Holy Spirit would never allow any such person to remain in that state, and would eventually compel them to return to Christ. Just because that can be true in certain cases in no way makes it the rule. That being the rule is NOT found in the Bible. It is not only false, it is dangerous. That’s because it engenders fellow Christian’s neglect of those who fell into serious sin.

See Jude vs. 22-23. Romans chapter 11 makes it clear that Christians are “wild olive branches” grafted in contrary to nature into God’s family. In other words, they are not the natural children, only adopted. And the grafts have not healed and fused so to speak, so they are not yet permanent. This will be decided at the Judgment when Christ returns. Some ignorant people isolate the first part of Romans 11:26 out of context to make it teach Israel’s unconditional salvation. But all Israel shall be saved how? Only one way: through the Deliverer Jesus Christ. And only if they continue in His goodness. Otherwise they will be cut off (from salvation). It can’t mean anything else. Another type of fathers and sons is that of older mentoring Christians and younger believers. But that subject is for another time.

Greed, Money, and Riches

Before I hit my main point, know that I much prefer the Republican party over the Democratic, strongly oppose Democratic or Marxist Socialism, and vehemently oppose Communism. I also believe that most homeless people in the United States are that way because they are too lazy to work, have led ungodly lives and so lack God’s blessings, or both. I also realize that rich people interpret criticism of them as others simply being unwilling to work hard enough, being envious of rich people’s success, or both.

Therefore I will keep my opinions on the rich to a minimum, and instead quote gobs of Christian Scripture; so that if you object to what is written, it means you have a problem with where Jesus and Christianity have stood on the issue of rich people and riches. So here goes: From Matthew 6:19-21: “Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven. For where your treasure is, there will be your heart also.”

Matthew 19:20-24: “A young man who followed religion asked Jesus: What lack I yet? Jesus responded, Go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow Me. But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions. Then said Jesus unto His disciples, Verily I say, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven. It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.”

Jesus used hyperbole: an exaggerated statement not to be taken literally, but instead used to emphasize a point. In Matthew chapter 13, Jesus likened those who received God’s word in different ways as those who receive seeds. Note verse 22: “He that received seed among thorns is he that heareth the word, and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.” A rich man going to heaven being likened to a camel fitting through a needle’s eye is also mentioned in Luke chapter 18. In the Beatitudes of Luke 6:20 & 24, Jesus declared “Blessed be ye poor: for yours is the kingdom of God. But woe unto you that are rich! For ye have received your consolation.”

Luke 12:15-21: “Jesus said unto them: Take heed, and beware of covetousness; for a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of things which he possesseth. And he spake a parable, saying: The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully. And he though within himself, saying, What shall I do since I have no room where to bestow my fruits? And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater, and there will I bestow all my fruits and goods. And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry. But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then where shall those things be, which thou hast provided? So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.”

Luke 16:19-25: “Jesus said A certain rich man was clothed in purple and fine linen, faring sumptuously every day: And a certain beggar named Lazarus was laid at his gate, full of sores, And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off with Lazarus. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.

But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.” 1st Timothy 6:7-10: “For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain that we can carry nothing out. And having food and raiment [that’s clothing] let us be therewith content. But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.”

1st Timothy 6:17-18: “Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not high minded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy, That they do good, be rich in good works, and ready to distribute.” Hebrews 11:24-26: “By faith Moses refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter; Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respected the recompense of the reward.”

James 1:9-11: “Let the brother of low degree rejoice in that he is exalted: But the rich, in that he is made low: because as the flower of the grass he shall pass away. For the sun is no sooner risen with a burning heat, but it withereth the grass, and the flower thereof falleth, and the grace of its fashion perisheth: so also shall the rich man fade away in his ways.” James 5:1-4: “Go now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you. Your riches are corrupted and your garments are moth-eaten. Your gold and silver is cankered, and their rust shall be a witness against you, and eat your flesh as would fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.

Behold the hire of the laborers who have reaped your fields, which is kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord.” In summary, covetousness: a type of greed Christian scripture repeatedly warns against, is idolatry. And the vast majority of rich people are characterized by greed. In fact, most humans are characterized by greed. This likely includes YOU. Those in respected professions are certainly not exempt. Note Mark 5:25-26: “A certain woman which had an issue of blood twelve years, had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, yet was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse.”

In fact, specialists such as doctors, computer experts, auto technicians, etc. are more likely to cheat people since people often fail to realize they are being cheated due to their lack of knowledge on the expertise. So avoid doctors and other professionals unless it is an absolute emergency, and learn to be self-reliant as much as possible. Certainly rich television preachers are wolves in sheep’s clothing who feed off people’s emotions. Besides, the rich tend to foolishly squander their money. Consider celebrities who have bought a jewel encrusted Rolls Royce, installed diamond studded grills in their mouth, and other such waste.

I would ban most luxury products, so that the wealthy would be prompted to use their superfluous money on charities for the needy, due to restricted spending options. I would also ban animal products such as furs and mink eyelash extensions, which also trespass upon animal welfare concerns. And not only are God’s people told not to give the rich preferential treatment (James 2:1-7) the disadvantaged should get preferential treatment due to their need. Read Luke 14:12-14. We need money, but cannot serve both the Creator God and Mammon (god of money), which leads to HELL.
